90 km northeast of Taroudant, in the Souss valley, sits a village that produces one of the world's three finest saffron varieties. Taliouine, 6,000 inhabitants, perched at 1,500m altitude.

Why it's exceptional

Taliouine saffron is the only Moroccan saffron with PDO status. The high altitude, dry continental climate, and limestone-clay soil give this Crocus sativus variety a safranal concentration 15% higher than the global average.

How we source it

Pepironi works directly with a women's cooperative of 180 producers in Taliouine. No middleman, no blending with imported saffron. You get 100% PDO Moroccan saffron.
